Mood Board and Explanation
For one of our research sections we were tasked with creating a mood board for our production. I decided the most effective way to do this was to print out a bunch of pictures and then stick them on an A3 piece of paper. After that I scanned it into the computer to produce the result above. However, without explanation it is pretty useless; so here I'm going to do just that!
The first images I decided to look for where ones that could relate to our general narrative (or at least what ideas we have for shots at this present moment). This is why you can see images like a Bonfire, a crowd time-lapse and an image of an illuminated city bridge at night.
Next I decided to think of some aesthetics that our band will have. I got images of the two guitars, microphone and drum kit. Then I got some different images for each of our band 'characters'. The top right shows a picture of a man bun on a bearded male (the latter being something we can't do due to our age), there is then a picture of JugHead from Riverdale and a stereotypical 'emo'. I looked at costume - you can see a chequered shirt on the man in the bottom middle and a beanie on the aforementioned JugHead. There is also an image of tattoo sleeves - which is something I'd love to have in the video but probably will have to avoid. Finally, you can see a picture of the Punk Rock symbol, the Kerrang Magazine and a stereotypical band performance (these are all things we need to consider and maybe incorporate into our video due to the genre).
