Filming Day 2 - A Narrative Begins To Form
For the second day of filming we needed to get started on the narrative aspects of our Music Video. We have previously auditioned and casted Jack Bacon as our second character, with our lead singer Jordan as the main character. We organised for everyone to meet up and created a timetable and a route map for our filming so that we didn't waste time travelling around. We started off by filming scenes in the house; in the bedroom, the slamming of the front door and the lighting of the match. These went very well and we had finished them quickly. We also took the first of the polaroid photos (which are needed for other scenes at the beginning and end of the music videos). We decided not to film the argument scene; as for that we need Jack to be in makeup (so that is being saved for day three). We then went to the train station and unfortunately were told we were not allowed to film, so there's another shot we need to do another time (albeit more sneakily). We went to the multi storey car park in Brentwood and ascended to the highest level; to find that the view from up there was miles better than we had expected. We filmed lots up there just because of how aesthetically pleasing it was; and also altered our rotating shot to be filmed there instead. Here we took the second polaroid photo; and got a close-up of said photo being printed. We then got some lunch and headed to Shenfield Common to film our smooth zoom transition scene; which worked perfectly. However, Jack then had to leave (meaning that the scenes we needed to film in the evening could not be done). This is acceptable though, as we still have lots of time to get them done.
From this, we have decided we need two more filming days; one to complete the narrative and another to go up to London (get the train-station shot and crowd timelapses) and then some cool-looking filler shots. Hopefully this all goes well!
