Lyric Analysis Of Bonfire by The Hunna
The message that I drew from the lyrical analysis, about the story that the lyrics are telling, is that there are two people who were stuck in an almost toxic relationship. They can tell they are going to break up due to the fact they do not spend time together 'you don't take me anywhere'. One of them has tried to break away from the other (probably the female due to the lead singer being male), but has then come back. The singer becomes sick of this emotional manipulation and as a result took it upon himself to fully end the relationship and 'burn it to ashes', with the other parts help 'we'll both watch the flames'.
The story that we want to portray from the lyrics is much more literal, but still with the same overarching narrative. One character wants to break away from the other due to them not being comfortable in the relationship (due to its homosexual nature). The lyrics about the burning of their memories will be taken more literally, with items reminding the main character of his relationship being burnt. The video will revolve around the idea of fire and violence in order to contradict society for their views towards homosexual people.
