Filming Day 1 - Boys In A Band

Our first day of filming went extremely well. We decided that we should start by filming all of the band parts for our music video; where we pretended to be a band and play instruments for cinematic effect. We chose to use our group-members as the band but as there are only three of us we also had to audition for a fourth member. We made the decision to have Callum Clifford as our drummer. On the day we sent up the band equipment on my front garden; after borrowing the drum kit and the mic stand. The guitars belonged to Alex, which was great because it meant we didn't have to source some guitars. We also designated costumes to each person; which expressed their conventions, stereotypes and narrative personality. When we began to film, we at first did Jordan's solo (which is around the end of the song). We decided this was a good place to start as it only involved one person. We then filmed the closeups of each of the instruments (to use as transitions and filler) and then we did multiple playthroughs of the whole song in order to get the amount of shots that we needed. We also filmed a scene where we were walking up to the band equipment; to use at the start of the video.
