Production Diary Seven - 21/10/2017

Two techniques that we may want to use in our video are lip-syncing and green screen. In order to use these we needed to conduct practice sessions. For the lip-syncing we got our auditionees to lip-sync the lyrics to our song, which went very well. It showed us that we would be able to use this in our video as long as we worked on getting the audio lined up with the visuals.

However, when it came to green screen we have decided we would rather not use it. In our practice, we had Alyx walking with the green screen changing backgrounds. We found it was difficult to set up, due to the importance of lighting, and that it was hard to make it look nice in editing. Alongside this, it also went against our idea of natural filming, where we want to make everything look as realistic as possible. So we have decided not to use green screen in our production.
