Production Diary Eleven - 09/12/2017
We have finally finished our digipak. It has changed quite a
bit from our original ideas, but still follows the same basics. For our front
we decided to use the double exposure technique, with Jack and Jordan looking
opposite ways with a fire in the middle. Originally we were going to do this in
black and white but we thought the digipak looked very bland and as a result we
developed a purple colour scheme for the whole digipak.
For the back we still used the photo of the polaroids, but
we added a more purple tint to it and decided to highlight the song names with
a white glow; to make them stand out against the background as they were quite
hard to read.
The purple colour scheme was applied to all the other layers
so that the whole digipak matched. We then saw that on three of the frames
there seemed to be a lot of empty space so we put some of the song lyrics, with
the same white glow as the song names, in these empty spaces; giving us a much
more filled (but not cluttered) look.
As a group we are very happy with the final product and tis
evolution from our first set of ideas.
